How do you stop on rollerblades?

Skate Stoppers

When making the transition from ice to roller hockey, remember that there is a stopper on the back of one of your boots. It is very helpful and when used effectively will make you extremely elusive on the court.

No one plays roller hockey with a stopper on their skate. Inline skates are the same as ice hockey skates(except for the wheels) and most players can stop as effective as ice players.

this tip is not only false, but dangerous. When playing roller hockey, the idea is to stop with the edge of your wheels. The stopper will only hinder your skating ability and you have to go off balance to activate it.
